What is a retrofit downlight?
A retrofit downlight is an LED lighting solution designed for updating existing recessed cans. The term “retrofit” means upgrading the lamp source, often to a more modern technology like LED, and trim, while keeping the existing above-ceiling housing and wiring intact.
LUSA’s retrofit downlights are LED lights that can be easily installed into your current recessed cans. They are affixed to the existing housing using stainless steel clips attached to trims. They must be used with an existing recessed lighting housing with a nominal interior diameter of 4 inches. Trim will cover up to a 4 3/4-inch surface.
What is warm dim?
Warm dim is a lighting technology that mimics the inviting and cozy glow of traditional incandescent lighting while dimming, replicating the gradual color shift seen during a sunset. As you lower the intensity of a warm dim light source, its color temperature gradually transitions from a cooler white light to a warmer, amber hue, simulating the soothing ambiance of dusk.
